COVID-19 Information
Visitors to Whitsunday Regional Libraries are not required to show proof of vaccination at this time as libraries are considered an essential community service. However, a face mask must be worn. To read the full mandatory face mask direction, please refer to the Queensland Government’s website.
The health and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our priority and we are working hard to offer a safe service that meets social distancing and hygiene guidelines:
- The maximum number of people who can be in each library is determined by the one person per two square metres rule.
- Remember to stay home if you're sick and get tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.
- Wear a mask whilst inside all library branches.
- Hand sanitising products and gloves are available for use.
- 1.5 metre social distancing is required at all times.
- Cashless transactions are preferred.
- For convenient check in, Council is using the Check in Qld app. To download the app or for more information please visit Check in Qld.
Please adhere to the Whitsunday Regional Libraries Conditions of Entry to maintain a safe environment for our customers, staff and community.
It is also important we all follow the advice from Queensland Health which is the lead agency dealing with COVID-19 in Queensland. To find out more information, visit the Queensland Health website.
