Introduction to Watercolour Workshops

Bowen and Collinsville Libraries will be hosting free introductory workshops where you will learn the basics of watercolour painting with Noel Colbert.  The 2 hour sessions will cover how to colour mix and match and instruction on watercolour painting techniques with every participant creating their own unique piece of art to take home.  All materials will be supplied and light refreshments provided.

Session times:

Collinsville Community Centre - Friday, 2 September from 10am to 12pm

Bowen Library - Wednesday, 7 September from 10am to 12pm

Artist Bio:

Noel was born in Birchip, Victoria.  He commenced painting in 1999 while still teaching art at secondary schools, specialising in watercolour, but also completing paintings in both oil and pastel.  Noel has travelled overseas to paint in Italy, England, Scotland and Ireland. He has held several group exhibitions in Geelong and exhibited works in North Queensland, notably in Bowen and Ayr, winning several watercolour awards.  Noel's work is represented in private collections both within Australia and internationally.
