Speechie Talks
A free education and support program aimed to equip Whitsunday region families with information on early childhood communication development is set to commence in April 2023. Speechie Talks provides parents and carers of children aged 0 to 5 years the opportunity to engage with Whitsunday Community Health’s speech pathologist at a series of education sessions over eight weeks. The program covers four topics including early language, speech sounds, social communication and early literacy, which all form key areas of communication development.
Sessions will be held on nominated Mondays from 9.30am to 10.30am alternating between Cannonvale and Proserpine libraries, with the first session commencing Monday, 17 April. Bookings are not necessary. Attendees are required to bring their Medicare card to register at the event. For any queries or more information, contact 4813 9518.
