Heart Art is a Visual Arts Exhibition created by the participants of Whitsunday Leisure Activity Centre and will be on display at the Cannonvale Library between 11 August – 11 November 20223.
Art therapy is a therapeutic modality that integrates creative expression and emotive release through visual art media with underpinning psychotherapeutic techniques to improve mental, physical, and emotional well-being by:
- facilitating self-expression;
- fostering social inclusion;
- developing new coping strategies; and
- building self-esteem.
