Celebrate Library Information Week

Celebrate Library and Information Week by participating in one of our Bookmaking Workshops taking place across the region during 17 to 21 May 2021.

Local artist, Belinda Curry, will show you how to create a simple book from new and found materials, using basic stitching and folding techniques.  Two forms will be demonstrated, a Japanese stab book and a concertina books and participants will have the opportunity to produce one or both of these books, time permitting.

Workshop sessions are from 9.30am to 12.30pm on:

Monday, 17 May 2021 at Cannonvale Library

Tuesday, 18 May 2021 at Proserpine Library

Thursday, 20 May 2021 at Bowen Library

Friday, 21 May 2021 at Collinsville Community Centre

*All materials supplied, however to reduce sharing of equipment please bring a pencil, ruler and scissors if possible (bring along items that you may like to incorporate e.g. old artworks on paper, cards, calendars etc.)

Morning tea provided by Whitsunday Regional Libraries.
